A key aspect of my clinical work is the care I provide during pregnancy and childbirth.

In addition to a routine pregnancy examination, I look into the individual needs of a woman who is expecting a child. As an obstetrician, wife and mother, I understand a lot of the fears, anxieties and ambivalent feelings and needs during pregnancy and when the child is born.

Especially in high-risk pregnancies, you can feel yourself in good hands and well-cared for as I have spent more than 20 years at the Gynecology University Clinic in Vienna, gaining a lot of scientific and clinical experience in the process.

My practice’s obstetric services include:

· Prenatal care and monitoring as well as counseling at birth, together with a midwife if desired.

· Routine pregnancy passport screenings (mandatory in order to receive the entire childcare allowance)

· Ultrasound diagnosis (estimated date of birth, monitoring of the child’s growth and amniotic fluid volume, Doppler blood flow measurements to check on the child’s nourishment)

· Special care for preexisting conditions in pregnant women, such as multiple miscarriages or premature births, hypertension, diabetes and other chronic illnesses

· Early risk assessment (restraints to growth, pre-eclampsia, GDM, premature birth)

· Diagnosing infections to prevent premature birth and as part of prenatal care (e.g. bacterial vaginosis, fungal diseases, beta-hemolytic streptococci)

· Diagnosis and possible treatment of thyroid dysfunction and other individual risk factors

· Possible dropping/substituting of drugs unsuitable during pregnancy

· Multiple pregnancies

I’ll provide you with advice and support during these exciting 9 months and even when the child is born, if desired, so the memory of this time full of happiness and anticipation, and also concern for the health of your child, will remain with you always.
